In the mid sixties, Hawaj started selling prestigious perfumery products from Europe while in the seventies Hawaj started establishing channels for the distribution and sales of highly reputed European and American perfumery brands.
Over a period of time several lifestyle product categories such as cosmetics and skin care, watches and accessories, jewelry and crystals, fashion garments and formal dresses, household and decorative articles were added. The accent was always on HIGH QUALITY products and now Hawaj is been identified with some of the most famous brands in the world.
The group has expanded and diversified its businesses, throughout the years under the present leadership of the Managing Director, Jawad Yousuf Al Hawaj, ably supported by his brothers. Today, Al Hawaj has become one of the largest diversified retail groups in the kingdom of Bahrain.
