In addition to her feminine, glamorous collections, in 1997, Lolita created her first women’s perfume “Lolita Lempicka”. Her first fragrance was bold, poetic and inspired by fairytales. Today, it is considered as one of the world’s most successful perfumes in the last ten years. She went on to create more perfumes including “Lolita Lempicka au Masculine” and “L” her latest feminine fragrance.
A book about her design house entitled "Lolita Lempicka 20 ans de création" (Lolita Lempicka, 20 years of creation) was published in 2004. Lolita Lempicka also likes to surprise with her creative talents. For the last three years, she has been designing the luxury version of the Nissan Micra. At the start of 2008, she designed a Samsung mobile phone and in 2009, she is designing a luxurious set of luggage by Delsey. Since Fall 2008, “les Gourmandises de Lolita Lempicka” created with Bonneterre reconcil organic and beauty for chic tea parties.
Lolita Lempicka is the grand daughter of the Countess Lempicka of Poland who became a well know artist during the Art Deco period, before the war. Josiane Pividal, alias Lolita Lempicka, was born in Bordeaux in 1954, and was passionate from her childhood about sewing and drawing. She studied at the Studio Berçot in Paris and some years of designing freelance she opened a fashion house, Fashion houses are often named after their founding designer, but Josiane Pividal went about it differently. In 1983 Josiane and her husband Joseph, an interior designer, created their label, "Lolita Lempicka", in homage to Nabokov's novel and to the painter Tamara de Lempicka. As the fashion house took off, the couple found it simpler to change their names to Lolita and Joseph-Marie Lempicka. Encouraged by the success of her first collection, Lolita Lempicka opened a shop in 1984 in the heart of Marais district in Paris. The progress of the label was spectacular . In the 1980s, Lolita Lempicka was widely distributed all over the world and particularly in Japan. In an attempt to make her clothing accessible to all ages and budgets she created a more basic line called Lolita Studio Design (L.S.D.) in 1995.In 1988, Lolita Lempicka created a younger line Lolita Bis. At the beginning of the 1990s, the "house" established itself in a beautiful exclusive hotel at 78, avenue Marceau. In 1995, Lolita Lempicka created a new line of bridalwear " Les Mariées de Lolita " in a flagship shop in the Marais. The first perfume "Lolita Lempicka" was launched in 1997, including Best Women’s Fragrance awarded jointly by the Fragrance Foundation and the American FIFI award in 1998. and then in March, 2000, a new fragrance " Lolita Lempicka masculin " was created. The success of the label depends on an ultra-feminine style, distinctive of the designer. Elegant fabrics , clever cutting , profusion of printed material and airy fabrics, muslins, laces, guipures are typical of this Parisian and sophisticated label. Passionate about the cinema, Lolita Lempicka has collaborated in several films and dressed numerous actresses. Lolita Lempicka, mother of three children, is assisted, today, by her elder daughter Elisa. Lolita Lempicka continues the family's interest in art through her creativity with fashion and perfume design. Lolita Lempicka is unmistakably feminine, sensual, seductive and very creative.
